Charles William Himes, Jr.

Mr. Charles William Himes, Jr. 51, of Union Bridge, died suddenly Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born June 6, 1961 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Charles W. Sr. and Katherine Harbaugh Himes. He was the husband of Vesta Crocker Himes, his wife of 30 years. Mr. Himes was employed on a dairy farm. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Shannon Himes and companion Ricky Divel of Union Bridge; 3 sons, Charles W. Himes III and wife Crystal of Greencastle, PA; Richard Lee Himes and wife Tasha of Taneytown; Samuel Himes and wife Jaime of Apopka, FL; 9 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Bonnie Himes of Union Bridge and Kandi Weaver of Apopka, FL. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, twin Cheryl Himes and Kathy Himes. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 10 at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro.
