Charlotte L. (Goody) Schultz, 70, passed away at her winter home in Marathon, Florida on December 15, 2011.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1650 N. Bainbridge Center Road, Watervliet, Michigan, with Rev. Miryam Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, Michigan. Memorials may be made to Lakeland Hospice or St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Those wishing to sign Charlotte's memory book or leave a condolence online may do so at www.starksfamilyfh.com.

Charlotte was born on September 17, 1941 to Robert "Jake" and Jean (Bowers) Goody in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1959. Charlotte married Bud Schultz on August 7, 1959.

Charlotte enjoyed shopping, traveling and especially her rocking chair on the front deck, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, at her winter home in Marathon, Florida. Dolphins, Pelicans and passing boats were her favorite views. Charlotte and Rennie Furlan opened Hello Sunshine Dress Shop in Watervliet in 1973 and she enjoyed their many customers for several years.

Charlotte is survived by her husband Bud; her son Rick (Michelle) of Pickerington, Ohio; her sister Margo Ryno of Benton Harbor; and four grandchildren.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her son Karl (Hazel) age 49, of Claypool, Indiana on March 7, 2011. Both Karl and Charlotte were claimed by Pancreatic Cancer. She was also preceded by her father Robert "Jake" Goody in 1977 and her mother Jean Goody in 1996, who died of Pancreatic Cancer as well.
