He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, Iowa where he was active in Student Government and played football. He graduated from the U.S. Army Military Academy and was a 1LT U.S. Army helicopter pilot in the UH-60 Blackhawk. He married his wife Becky Brackin in Cleveland, MS on April 21, 1990. There first military assignment was in Ansbach, Germany. He is a Veteran of Desert Storm where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and other honors. After leaving the military Chris graduated from Vanderbilt University (JD). Chris and Becky move to Hawaii where he worked with Wagner, Watson and Pettit. They missed Nashville and soon returned, to work with Boult Cummings. He also worked with HCA and Vanderbilt, before finding a home at LifePoint Hospitals where he has worked for the past 9 years and his current position was Chief Compliance Officer. Chris is preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Brackin.
