Christine A. Spacek, 66, of Port St. Lucie, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Treasure Coast Hospice residence in Ft. Pierce, FL.

Chris was born in Astoria, Queens, NY. She had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past thirteen years coming from Fairfax, VA, after retirement from a 29 year career as a Flight Attendant with Eastern Airlines.

Chris was a medal-winning competitive swimmer, studied nursing then decided to pursue a career in the airline industry. She was a multi talented; musician who excelled at the accordion, the organ and also an accomplished artist. Christine was a two time cancer survivor and struggled for several years with severe respiratory illnesses. She was a Friend of Bill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Clara Spacek, one sister Francine LeVasseur.

Survivors include her loving friend, Terry Echeveria; two sisters, Diana Carney; Justine Burnett, many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am, Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL, followed by a reception at the Lake Charles club house.
