Letha Christine Edney Reynolds of Little Rock, Arkansas, died Monday, December 5, 2011, at her home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Christine, as she was known to friends and family, was born at Lake Village, Arkansas, on May 4, 1934, to Walter and Allie May Culp. She was a devout Baptist and a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Bryant, Arkansas.
Christine retired from K-Mart and was then able to further enjoy working outdoors and hunting with her loving husband of seventeen years, Granville Reynolds. She adored spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her extended family.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Edward B. Edney (1990); and four sisters, Dorothy Rogers, Verbie Reed, Alice Walters and Olivia Culp all of Monticello, Arkansas.
Christine is survived by her husband, Granville Reynolds; three sons--David (Debby) Edney of Smackover, Arkansas, Dale (Pam) Edney of Sibley, Louisiana, and Travis Edney (Joy Stevens) of Newport, Arkansas; her daughter Tralonia (Stan) Brewer of Newark, Arkansas; two grandsons--Steven (Chauna) Edney of Smackover, Arkansas, and Chris (Kelly) Edney of Cincinnati, Ohio; three granddaughters--Courtney (Jason) Blevins of Newark, Arkansas; Christin (Jonathan) Hall of Magness, Arkansas; and Brooke (Omri) Ibi of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one step-son--Jim (Becky) Reynolds of Jacksonville; two step-daughters--Debbie (Roy) Wylie of Little Rock and Sandy (James) Wylie of Bryant; and eleven step-great-grandchildren all residing in Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Steven and Chris Edney, Jason Knight, David and Josh Wylie, Jimmy and Johnny Reynolds; Jason Blevins and Jonathan Hall.
