Christine Marie Traxler, 64, of South Bend, Indiana passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012. Chris was born April 7, 1947, in South Bend to Louis and Norma (Ward) Czerna.

Surviving are daughters, Kelly Traxler and husband, Robert Mann of Elkhart, Indiana, Kerry Traxler of South Bend, Indiana; a son, Keith Traxler and wife, Reanna of New Carlisle, Indiana; grandchildren, Haley, Austin, Aiden and Brody Traxler, Olivia Mann, Kylie Whiteman; a brother, Dan Czerna of Mishawaka, Indiana; and nieces, Ericka and Amanda Czerna of South Bend, Indiana.

Chris graduated from Washington High School in 1965 and was the first mascot for the school. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, where a Funeral Service will begin at 4 p.m.
