Rev. Christopher A. Swalley, 64, of the 100 block of Suburban Pkwy., Norfolk, VA, passed away January 21, 2012, in Sentara Leigh Hospital. A native of East St. Louis, IL, he was the son of the late Chester and Alice Swalley. He was a Southern Baptist Minister who was ordained as an evangelist minister at Oak Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Grovar of California; four grandsons; and a sister, Cindy Smith of Texas. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Mosely officiating. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel is handling the arrangements.
