Mr. Christopher J. Collins, of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, June 2, 2011, at the age of 45.

Chris was born in Melrose on October 18, 1965, one of three children of Ronald E. Collins and Joan (Berg) Collins. Raised in Melrose, he graduated from Melrose High School with the class of 1983. Chris worked as a customer sales representative for Verizon for many years. He loved photography, gardening, computers, music, and acrylic painting.

He was the cherished son of Ronald E. Collins and Joan L. (Berg) Collins of Melrose. Beloved brother of Ronald E. Collins, Jr. and his wife Sue of Nashua, NH, and Jennifer L. Collins of Melrose. Dear nephew of Janice DeSimone and her husband Stephen of Wakefield, Louise McGuiness and her husband Gerald of Melrose, Lawrence Collins and his wife Jean of Malden, and Kenneth Collins and his wife Cyd of Southwest Harbor, ME. Loving uncle of Charlie, Nathaniel, Isabella, and Sophia Collins all of Nashua, NH. He is also survived by his favorite dog, "Bentley."

Funeral Service in honor and remembrance of Chris at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St, Melrose on Tuesday, June 7 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation on Tuesday from 9-11 AM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. Gifts in honor of Chris may be made to the Boston Living Center, 29 Stanhope St., Boston, MA 02116.
