Claire Daly Lamb died Friday, December 30th 2011 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 93. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1918 and lived most of her adult life in Jacksonville, Florida where she was married and had two children. She attended Florida College for Women (FSU) and later became an executive secretary for Towers Watson, formerly known as Tillinghast, Nelson and Warren. She held office in the Jacksonville chapter of the National Secretaries Association, and was active in many volunteer organizations including the "Cyclamen" garden circle. Her first love was All Saints Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, where she served as the first female senior warden, organized "Faith Alive" weekends, and was a member of St. Cecilia's circle. Claire remarried after the death of her husband, Claude William Daly to Lucius Lamb.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Daly Worrall, her husband William Laning Worrall, her son, Claude William Daly Jr. died in July of 2005 and is survived by his wife Patricia Jernigan Daly, a grandson, Jon William Daly and his wife Jennifer Jodait Daly. She also has a step son, Rick Lamb. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 1:30 PM in All Saints Episcopal Church located at 4171 Hendricks Ave. 32207 in Jacksonville, Florida. In lieu of flowers send donations to Cornerstone Hospice of Orlando, or All Saints Episcopal Church.
