JOHNSON - Claire Rue Johnson, age 40, a resident of Baton Rouge since 1992, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Vance P. Gardner; daughter, Morgan Mercedes Gardner-Cowart and husband, Jesse; granddaughter, Delilah Cowart, all of Baton Rouge, LA; mother, Mary Spicher and husband, Russ of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Aaron Johnson and wife, Linda of Albuquerque, NM, Ian Spicher and wife, Sarah of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Kimberly Shurley and husband, Billy of Little Rock, AR; mother-in-law, Jennifer Greaud of Baton Rouge, LA; father-in-law, Dale Guillory and wife, Brenda of French Settlement, LA; and brother-in-law, Jason Guillory of Baton Rouge, LA; three nieces, one nephew, and her beloved Shih-Tzus, Ming and Ying-Yang. Cremation has taken place and memorial services are pending. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family via the Claire Rue Johnson Benefit Fund at any Hancock Bank or the American Cancer Society.
