Clara Amelia Wynn Erdman, age 74 of Malta, PA was called home to glory on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Malta on September 22, 1935, Clara remained a lifelong resident. She was preceded in death by her parents Alma Ruth Zerbe Wynn and Edwin Raymond Wynn. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leon Walter Erdman, a sister Rena Wynn Kessler, Erdman PA and three sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis and Anna Erdman, Centreville, VA, Douglas and Mary Erdman, Muncy, PA, and Gregory and Judy Erdman, Wyckoff, NJ.

Clara was blessed with eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her primary interests were antiquing, flowers and gardening, genealogy and print collecting. She was an avid reader, especially history and enjoyed classical music and show tunes.

Clara took great pride in her family and treasured her time with them. She loved nature and animals and had a kind and generous spirit. She will be deeply missed by us all.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Reed’s Funeral Home, Pillow, PA. Clara’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 6th at 11:00 AM at St. Luke’s Church, Malta, with her nephew, Pastor Edwin Kessler, officiating. Additional visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday morning.
