After eighty-three years of sharing her life with us on this side of Glory, Ms. Clara Tasby Bouldin fell asleep into the peaceful arms of our Heavenly Father, Friday January 20, 2012.
Our beloved and loving Clara Tasby Bouldin, was born to the parentage of the late Sam Tasby, Sr. and Riller Walker Tasby. She was born and raised in Canfield, Arkansas, and was next to the youngest of 8 children. Clara later relocated to the Dallas area. She accepted Christ at an early age, and became a faithful member of Good Street Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board for many years. She was an employee of Mountain View College for over 15 years, where she retired in 1993.
Known to her family as "Aunt Clara" she was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. This meek and mild woman raised a lot of children within and outside the family. We all can say we've lived with Aunt Clara at some point in time; her doors were always open. Clara was a devout Mavericks, Cowboys and Rangers fan and enjoyed gardening.
The true measure of one's life is the esteem in which their family holds them, those who know them best. With her unconditional love, her zest for life and her integrity, Clara will continue to be in the hearts of her family and serve as an inspiration and role model to us all.
Clara is preceded in death by parents, Sam Tasby, Sr. and Riller Walker Tasby; three sisters, Lille B. Tasby, Tennie Tasby and Lessie B. Williams Tasby; two brothers, Dave Wilson and Charlie Tasby; and son, Marvin Bouldin. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Janet Bouldin-Melton and son-in-law, Keith Shenard Melton, of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Jente' Harrison- Carter (Gregory), Keith Shenard Melton II, and Carlton Garrett (Michelle) of Dallas, Texas; two great grandchildren, Cynara Chanel Harrison and Gregory Michael Carter, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Jerelyn Warren Glover of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Sam Tasby, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
