Clarence E. Howell, age 74, French Lick, Indiana, passed away at 3:55 AM, Friday, January 22, 2010 at his residence.

Clarence was born on June 14, 1935 in Dubois County, Indiana to the late Lewis Elmer and Grace (Lagenour) Howell. He married Evelyn Wanita Roach on June 14, 1952 and she survives.

He was a 1952 graduate of Shoals High School and was previously employed at Kimball Piano in West Baden Springs as a piano technician for 37 years. He was a former member of the Jaycee’s, the Saddle Club and the Boat Club. He enjoyed wood working and most of all playing with his grandchildren. He was also a member of Sulphur Creek Bible Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Wanita Howell of French Lick and one son, Steven Howell and his wife, Belinda, two brothers, Dr. Ray Dean Howell of Coatesville, Indiana and Carl Howell of Hillham. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and one on the way!

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Arrangements are being handled by T.L. Pinnick Mortuary, 785 South Bears Bend Road, French Lick where the family will receive friends, Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 6 PM until 8 PM and again on Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 9 AM until 12 Noon. A graveside service will be held at Emmons Ridge Cemetery near Hillham at 1:30 PM, Sunday, January 24, 2010 with Rev. Steve Howell officiating. Interment will be held at Emmons Ridge Cemetery with military graveside rites by the French Lick American Legion Post #76.
