Born November 21,1915, in Van Zandt County, city of Canton, Texas and raised in Athens, Texas.Passed away January 1, 2012 at Woodridge Nursing Home, Grapevine, Texas. Resided in Lancaster, Texas for over 60 years. Member of the National Guard of the United States from January 1935 to December 1937. The United States Navy Honorably discharged October 1945 and retired from Vought Aircraft, Grand Prairie, Texas. Preceded in death his wife Valline Davis of 46 years. Survived by his children, Marcus Davis of Durant, Oklahoma, Sandra Markle of Lancaster, Texas, Gary Davis of Lancaster, Texas, John Davis of Mesquite, Texas, Andrew Davis of Grapevine, Texas and Patricia Turner of Waxahachie, Texas, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
