COLUMBIA A memorial service for C. Larry Fuller, 75, will be held 12:00 noon Friday, January 6, 2012 in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Larry died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Dorn Veterans Medical Center where he had been a patient for nearly 47 years. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late C. L. Fuller, Jr. and Gay Blackmon Fuller. He was a graduate of Dreher High School, attended Wofford College and in 1956 joined the Marine Corps.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Fuller of Columbia; daughter, Lee Ann Guthrie and her husband, Stephen, of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Kyle and Allie Guthrie of San Diego, Kiirsten Guthrie Cooke (Duke) of Los Angeles; a sister, Gaye Frances Hyatt of Rock Hill; brother, Jerry Fuller and his wife, Patricia, of Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Scott Fuller.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Veterans Hospital. We are so very grateful for the extraordinary warmth, love and affection extended to Larry during all these years. We could never thank them enough for their tireless and endless care and concern.
