Clarence O'Dell, age 58, of Scranton, died Wednesday at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. Born on March 9, 1953, in Johnson City, New York, son of the late Charles F. and Jennie John O'Dell, educated at Walt Whitman High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was formerly employed by the Jewish Community Center in Scranton. Surviving are his children, Holly O'Dell of Scranton, Tracey O'Dell of Wichita, Kansas, Clarence E. O'Dell, Jr. of Dunmore, and Frederick C. O'Dell of Wichita, Kansas; His siblings, Cherri Mundy of Chester, N.Y., Penny Sansky of Scranton, James O'Dell of Factoryville and Donald O'Dell of Mountaindale, N.Y., seven grandchildren and also a grandson on his way, nieces and nephews and his companion, Helen Harmer, with whom he resided. Preceding in death were brothers, infants Charles and Daniel and Wayne O'Dell. A Celebration of Clarence's life will be held at a date to be announced. Memorial contributions in Clarence's name may be made to Clarence's sister, Penny Sansky (c/o Holly O'Dell, 113 Davis Street, Scranton, 18505). Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
