Clayton Z. Rhodes
Easley – Clayton Zion Rhodes, 92, formerly of Rice Creek Road, Liberty went home to be with his Lord Friday, September 16, 2011.
Mr. Rhodes was born in Enoree, SC son of the late J. P. and Hattie Mae Rhodes Stroud. He was retired from the textile industry and was a member of The Pickens Church of God. He was preceeded in death by his wife, the late Auda Ruth Kidd Rhodes and three sisters.
Survivors include his daughters, Edith Tripp and LaVerne of Gallatin, TN, Earlene Tompkins and Clarence (Shorty) of Easley, Mary Sloan and Steve of Easley, Narvis Hart and F. C. of Dacusville, and Janice McQueen and Richey of Liberty. Also surviving are step-children Jack Holland and Jeannie of Tehachapi, CA and Barbara Kreighbaum of California. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild and a special nephew Johnny Peavy.
Funeral services will be conducted 4 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with The Reverend LaVerne Tripp and the Reverend Aaron Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 to 4 PM at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Narvis Hart, 208 Thornbury Ridge, Easley, SC 29640.
