Mrs. Cleamis Owens, 75, of Simpsonville, SC went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was born June 19, 1935 in Anderson, SC, a daughter of the late Mack and Bessie Owens Davenport. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Simpsonville, SC. She was retired from Dow Brand Chemicals in Mauldin.
Survivors include one daughter Lynn Holcombe of Simpsonville, SC; son Bill Owens of Belton, SC; grandchildren Cindy Crumpton of Simpsonville , SC; Sandy Atkins of Gaffney, SC, Bo Owens and Chris Owens both of Simpsonville, SC, Joseph Holcombe of Fountain Inn, SC; brother Doug Davenport of Simpsonville, SC; sisters Juanita Pressley of Fountain Inn, SC, Jean Atwell of Greenville, SC, Doris Humphries of Columbia, SC; eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph “Joe” Owens; four brothers Morris, Larry, Duffie and James Davenport.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn with Rev. Ralph Byars officiating. Interment will follow in Cannon Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at the funeral home.
