Clyde William Herron, Sr., 68, husband of Shelby Jean Herron, went Home to be with the Lord, November 14, 2011.

Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Robert and Cornelia Collins Herron. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Clyde owned and operated Herron Services. His home church was Easley Bible Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his two sons, Clyde William "Billy" Herron and his wife Rebekah; and Danny Herron and his wife, Darbi; his three grandchildren, Jonathan, Kaitlyn and Madison; his brother, Walter Herron; and his sisters, Frances Murrah; Annie McGaha; Dorothy Holcombe; Sarah Huff and Martha Tinsley.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ansel Herron, Robert Herron, Bill Herron and James Gassaway.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00pm at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 – 8m at the funeral home.
