Colene S. McAlister
Easley, SC

Colene Simmons McAlister, 69, of 211 S. 8th Street, passed away Wednesday, January 04, 2012 at her home.

Born in Dacusville, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Furman Simmons and Clara trotter Simmons.

Mrs. McAlister was a member of West End Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Charles R. McAlister of the home; five sons, David, Allen, Mike and Benjamin all of Easley, and Brian of West Virginia; eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Holder, Carol Plumly and Jean Cox; and two brothers, Curtis Simmons and Hal Simmons.

Funeral services to honor Mrs. McAlister's life will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at the funeral home.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.

The family will be at the home.
