Constance R. "Connie" Caruso-Algera (Levato), 80, of the Brookfield section of White Twp., Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2011. Born on March 20, 1931 to Rose Ruggiero Levato and Samuel Levato, Constance was raised, and lived much of her adult life, in Washington, PA, before moving to Belvidere, NJ in 1996. Constance graduated from Trinity High School and worked as a Collections Supervisor for Sears, Roebuck & Co. for many years. Constance also worked in bookkeeping for local businesses. Constance was happiest when interacting with family and friends. She loved performing and participated in a number of community theatre productions. She also loved to travel and made several trips with her husband and family during her retirement. In Pennsylvania, Constance was active in the Christian Mothers of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church and was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary PA Post 175. After moving to New Jersey, Constance was active in the local Red Hat Society and she loved to organize trips to New York for her and friends to attend Broadway shows. Constance is survived by her loving husband, Obe Algera of Belvidere NJ; her daughter Roseanna Caruso of Carnegie, PA and grandsons, Michael, Matthew and Dustin; her daughter Valerie Caruso and her husband Michael Andalaft of New Jersey and grandsons John and Bryan; her stepson Rick Algera and his wife Kim of New Jersey and grandchildren Jaclyn and Jeffrey. Also surviving is her brother, Philip Levato and his wife Margie, sisters-in-law, Mary Mastrangelo, Rose DiGiovanni and Sophia Caruso, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Constance was predeceased by her parents and her first husband, Dominic E. Caruso in 1995. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Constance Caruso-Algera.
