Cora A. Mullin, 90, a resident of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Riverview Manor, Pleasant Valley. Her family will greet friends on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, downtown Davenport. Burial will be Saturday, May 19th at 12:00 (noon) in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Missouri.
Cora Ada Matson was born May 11, 1922 in Ridgeway, Missouri a daughter of Jessie Roy and Leona Blanche (Lovett) Matson. She was united in marriage to Joseph H. Mullin on July 20, 1938 in Missouri. He preceded her in death May 5, 1993.
Cora enjoyed gardening, cooking, NASCA, and especially her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Cora is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Nancy Mullin of Davenport; a grandson, Todd J. Mullin and a granddaughter, Andrea Cornett; five great grandchildren, Megan Guisti, Ellen Guisti, Stephanie Martin, Samantha Stabler and Sarah Stabler; 1 great-great grandson Sean Martin, Jr.; a sister, June King; three brothers, Raymond, Jack and John Matson.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son Melvin in 1947, a sister Helen Hill and six brothers, Jessie, Donald, Merle, Floyd, Kenneth and William Matson.
