Coral Irene Price Smart
“Together Forever”
Coral Irene Price Smart passed away October 24, 2010 on a beautiful fall day. She will now be forever in the arms of her loving sweetheart, Verion that she so deeply missed. She was born September 3, 1924 in Lehi, Utah to Lorenzo Vern Price and Emma Irene Clark Price. They lived in Topliff, Utah where her father ran a Lime Stone Quarry. He was the superintendent of the company.
Coral always loved the outdoors; but in Topliff, there were a lot of rattlesnakes to beware of. Despite the rattlesnakes, Coral loved all animals. Especially horses, cats and dogs. Throughout her lifetime, she had many of them.
In 1928, they moved to Social Avenue in Union and later to Holladay. That is where she met the love of her life Verion Smart. They were married August 24, 1940; and later the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 24, 1957. Mom always took pride in her home, her family, and especially her yard. She loved gardening, mowing lawns, planting trees, shrubs and took pride in her flowers and rose garden “she loved it all”. Mom and Dad started their own business called “Holladay Construction Company” that she helped run and operate. She also did a lot of painting and landscaping on the homes. Coral and Verion were partners in life. She loved working with her husband. Like our dad, Mom had a contagious laugh and was always smiling; not to mention a great sense of humor. She was considered somewhat of a free spirit. We will all miss her very much. “We love you Mom”
She was preceded in death by her sister Beverly Fugal, brother Vern Price, and a special grandson Brett Lee Snarr. She leaves behind her children Linda Snarr, Joan Ainsworth (Noal), and Ren Smart. Grandchildren Wade Hansen (Kelli), Noal Hansen (Debbie), Lamar Hansen (Joyann), Raymond Hansen, Cammie Robinson (Mike), fourteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren. Also many nieces and nephews, and her little dog Pepper.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful Hospice Workers, friends, and everyone in their ward for their love and support.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East. Friends and family may visit from 12:45 to 1:45 prior to the services. Interment at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 South Vine Street, Murray, Utah.
