Cori Lynn Daley Cook passed away on July 19, 2011 at age 48. She was born July 21, 1962 in San Francisco California to Lynda Peck and Val Johnson. She was honored to be raised by Lynda and the late Robert Daley.
She attended school in Spanish Fork, Utah. Cori married Vernon Cook on March 14, 1980 and became an instant mom to Vernon’s twins, Larry and Lee Ann. She later gave birth to two daughters Kiley and MacKenzie. She was very proud of her children and considered them her greatest achievement. Cori was vivacious and fun. She was full of energy and loved to laugh. Cori was beyond excited to finally become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! She didn’t have "friends", everyone she knew was "family". Cori’s greatest love was her grandchildren. If you asked, she would tell you her grandchildren could run faster, jump higher, were the most beautiful and smarter than any other kids on the planet.
Cori is survived by her husband, Vernon; her children Larry and Jennifer Cook, Peter Laulu and Lee Ann Cook, Jason and Kiley King, and Josh and MacKenzie Scott. Her grandchildren are Peyton, Shelby, Landen, Kooper, Swayzie, Reggie, Myles, and a grandson on the way. She is also survived by her mom Lynda Daley; her siblings Key and Cindy Daley, Darrin and Nicole Daley, and Marni and Justin Headman; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Daley and her sister Heidi Daley Diamond.
A viewing will be held Monday July 25, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West Payson, Utah. The funeral will be held Tuesday July 26, 2011 at 11 am at the Salem 12th Ward Building, 160 South 460 West, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Salem City Cemetery.
