Mr. Craig A. McDonald, 61, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Sunday December 5, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born August 29, 1949 in Winamac, Indiana, the son of Guy McDonald and Patricia (Reed) McDonald-Weaver. Craig was the owner of Craig McDonald Insurance. He was a member of Moose Lodge of LaPorte and the Life Underwriters Association. Craig was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, gardening, golfing and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed helping and being with people. Craig especially loved spending time with his family. On August 5, 1972, in Granger, IN, he married Suzanne Greenwood McDonald who survives. He is also survived by his step-father - Paul Weaver of LaPorte, IN; two sons - Mark (Casey) McDonald of West Lafayette, IN, Thomas McDonald of La Porte, IN; one daughter - Kathryn (Andrew) Francis of Greenwood, IN; four grandchildren - Gavin McDonald, Carter McDonald, Marley McDonald, Andrew Francis; and two brothers - Mitch McDonald of New Carlisle, IN, and Reed McDonald of La Porte, IN. Craig was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Friday, December 10, 2010 from 10:00 am, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday December 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will be at the Pine Lake Cemetery of LaPorte. In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Donor's Choice.
