CYNTHIA "CINDY" FAY STEPHENS, age 45, of Manassas, Virginia, died suddenly Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas.
Cindy was born December 21, 1964 in Manassas, Virginia, daughter of Thomas and Mattie Hazlett. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter and devoted herself to family values and living her life for the Lord. Cindy was a member of Soul's Harbor Church of God, Manassas. She worked for Payne Publishers in Manassas for the past 25 years as the customer service manager. She was a die hard Redskins Fan and a NASCAR fan with Jimmy Johnson as her favorite driver. Cindy was a lover of Elephants and collected many figurines, pictures, etc. of them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hazlett and one brother, Mark Hazlett.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Stephens; her son, Trevor Hazlett of Manassas; her mother, Mattie E. Hazlett; her twin sister, Sandra K. Lawson and three brothers, Thomas R. Hazlett, Terry A. Hazlett and Michael A. Hazlett.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2010 with Pastor D. Tony Willis officiating. Interment at Manassas City Cemetery, Manassas.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Trevor Hazlett Trust Fund for his college education, c/o Sandra Lawson, 8708 Rugby Road, Manassas, Virginia 20111.
