Funeral services for Dale Dewain Hazelip, age 53 of Kemp, Texas were held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Kemp with Pastor Zeth Smith and Mr. David Hassell officiating. Officiating. Interment followed in Baker Cemetery near Kemp under the direction of Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home of Kemp. Dale Hazelip was born on January 23, 1956 in Dallas, Texas. Son of the late Kenneth and Johnnie Wyble Hazelip and passed away on November 22, 2009 in Gun Barrel City.

Baptist in faith, Dale attended Kemp Schools and owned and operated Dale Hazelip Concrete for nearly 40 years. He was a member of the Cement Masons Union #549 as well as a past member and officer of the Kemp Volunteer Fire Department for several years where he also was an instructor at the annual Texas A&M Fire Training School. One of his favorite pastimes was auto racing, more especially NASCAR and was an avid Tony Stewart fan and he also loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was married to Jana Calder on April 19, 2001 in Kemp and is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Johnnie Hazelip; brother, Johnny Hazelip; brother, James Hazelip and a niece Jana Clawson.

Survivors include his wife Jana of Kemp, Son Kevin Hazelip and wife Shannon of Cross Roads, Daughter Christie Miller and husband Tommy of Kemp, Daughters Amber Clark and her husband Mike of Wills Point and Kristal Johnson of Kemp; grandchildren Blake, Kourtney, Tristyn, Trey, Tryce, Kevin, Wade, Lexi, Tristin, Trintin, Addison and Jayleigh; Twin Sister Gale Schilder and her husband Gene of Rice, Sisters Darlene Frankum and her husband B.R. of Kemp and Suddie Cockrell and her husband Ray of Plano, Brothers Kenneth Dalh Hazelip and his wife Clara of Combine and Jerry Hazelip of Kemp and close friends Michelle Day and her husband Bobby of Kemp as well as numerous other friends and relatives.

Pallbearers were Blake Hazelip, Rusty Hanson, Joe Yeakley, Ben Lauderdale, Bobby Dean FramKum, Paciano Flores and Bradley Calder
