Dan LeMoyne Bates, 83, of Mabelvale died on November 30th, 2011. He was born in Little Rock to the late P. A. and VanAlyce Bates on September 26, 1928. He was preceded in death by his wife Lovine and his daughter Karla. He served proudly in the Army as a radiotech. A lifelong member of Mabelvale Church of Christ, he retired from the post office. After retirement, he was the owner of The Snowhouse on Mann Road.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Kerri Mills and her husband Jason, his sister Barbara L. Estes and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at Mabelvale Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6th with Pastor Dennis Gulledge officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 5th, 2011 in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas 72002 (501)455-1067.
