Mr. Daniel P. Carl, 78, of Herndon. went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 25th, 2009 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Daniel was born in Herndon, PA on August 7, 1931, the son of the late Clyde and Carrie (Rothermel) Carl. He was the husband of Betty Carl.

He Regularly attended Grace Community Church Herndo R.D., PA He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He worked as a Quarry worker at Meckley's Limestone Herndon, PA.,and a brick layer for many years before. He was a life member of the Alven Long Post of the American Legion, Mandata, the Herndon Fire Co, Herndon, and a former member of the Bricklayer and Allied Craftsmen, Shamokin.

Daniel is survived by a daughter, Julie wife of Ernie Schreffler of Dalmatia, PA; a son,Terry husband of Barbara Carl of Herndon, PA; Daniel is also survived by a brother, Henry Carl of Herndon, PA. He is also survived by one grandson, Jeremiah Schreffler, and one great- grandson, Nolan Schreffler

He was preceded in death by one grand- daughter, Teri Lee Carl; by one sister, Jean Ferree; and by two brothers, Charles and Robert Carl.

Visitation will be Tuesday 9:30-11:00AM at Grace Community Church. Route 225, Herndon R.D. Religious Service will also be Tuesday at Grace Community Church, with Rev. Gerald Evens officiating. Interment at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, Pa..
