Daniel L. Cuney, 56, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at his home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a Construction Manager with City of Fort Wayne for 31 years. He enjoyed cooking and traveling. He is survived by wife, Maureen Cuney of Fort Wayne; daughters, Julia (Nick Merchant) Cuney of Fishers IN, and Samantha Cuney of Fort Wayne; mother Mary C. Cuney of Fort Wayne, brothers, Richard (Maria) Cuney Jr. of Grabill, David (Virginia) Cuney of New Haven, Donald Cuney, Dennis Cuney, Dana (Tammy) Cuney, and Douglas (Joyce) Cuney all of Fort Wayne; sisters, Mary (Dan) Miller of NY, Cecilia (David) Manning of Fort Wayne, Elizabeth (Tom) Myers of Columbia City, Theresa (Kevin) Mock of Auburn, and Renee (Richard) Cator of Fort Wayne; and numerous nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his father Richard L. Cuney Sr. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road with calling one hour prior, Fr. Dan Chukwuleta officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at D. O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Chapel 1320 E Dupont Rd. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the SPCA, Fort Wayne Animal Shelter or St. Vincent dePaul Catholic School Tuition Assistance Fund.
