Danny Hill, 53, of Biggsville, died at 2:07 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Born August 21, 1958, in Burlington, he was the son of George W. "Bill" Hill and Cleora Inghram Reynolds.

Danny worked as a bricklayer by trade.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Danny enjoyed fishing and hunting with his father. He loved living on the farm with the love of his life Janet Crear, taking care of his chickens, cows and little ponies. He enjoyed welding as one of his hobbies. He made a grill that resembled an engine. His one true passion in life was riding his Harley Davidson anywhere and everywhere.

Survivors include his companion, Janet Crear of Biggsville, IL; three step-sons, Richard Gavin, Brian Gavin, and James Talley; his mother, Cleora Reynolds of Glendale, AZ; two sisters, Connie (Tom) Riter of Mt. Lake Terrace, WA and Billy Jo (Tony) Hill-Elkins of Keokuk, IA; two brothers, David Hill of Biggsville, IL, and Jerry (Kathy) Hill of Burlington; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, step-sisters and brothers and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and step-mother, Alice Hill, and one step brother, David Greiner.

As per Danny's request cremation has been accorded.

A celebration of Danny's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17th at Cruiser's in Illinois (about 6 miles east of Burlington on US 34).

A memorial has been established.

The Hass-Thielen Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
