DANNY PAUL PRINCE

Danny Paul Prince, 50, of Kannapolis, NC, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, after a short illness.
Born on January 4, 1961, in Beckley, WV, Danny was the third of four children born to Paul Samuel and Lessie Mae Cox Prince of Crab Orchard, WV.
Danny graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1979 and served in the USAF. Danny was a member of the Kannapolis Church of God in Kannapolis, NC and was a member of their choir where he sang bass. He was employed at Eaton Corporation Clutch Division, Charlotte, NC. Danny loved auto racing and photography and has a website featuring both. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his wife and special racing buddy, JoAnn Cline Prince; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Ester Treadway Cox and paternal grandparents, Okey and Ora Hale Prince.
Those remaining to cherish precious memories of Danny are his daughter, Randi Nicole Prince Treat and his granddaughters, Lauryn Nicole Treat and Alyssa Kimberanne Treat all of Broken Bow, OK. Surviving siblings are Roger D. Prince of Crab Orchard, WV, Robert A. Prince and his wife, Judith Delph Prince of Daniels, WV, and Cynthia A. Prince Bryant and her husband, Jack L. Bryant of MacArthur, WV.
Nieces and nephews are Jo Lynn Prince-Lacek and her husband Steve, Michelle Cochran Spruill and her husband Mark, Paul A. Prince, Christian Bryant, and Jonathan Bryant all of WV. Also remaining are two great nephews, Jude Lacek and Mark Spruill and one great-niece, Madeline Spruill, also of WV.

Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Barbara Watkins and Pastor Jesse Farley officiating. Following the services Danny will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends may gather with the family from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
