Darlene R. Stewart, 83 of Kitts Hill passed away Thursday December 31, 2009 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. the Kitts Hill native was born January 26, 1926 the daughter of the late Floyd and Roberta Kingery Reed. She was the wife of the late Fred W. Stewart.
Mrs. Stewart attended Andis schools. Was a member of Bald Knob Church and spent most of her life in the Kitts Hill area.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by, three brothers and a sister-in-law, Earl and Marie Reed, Charles Reed and Lawrence Reed. One sister and brother-in-law, Bill and Ruth Ferguson.
Survivors include three sons, Floyd Stewart of Kitts Hill
Terry and Carol Stewart of Kitts Hill
Joe and Debbie Stewart of Virginia
a special ex daughter-in-law, Ann Stewart of Michigan
five grandchildren, David and Sara Stapleton of Kitts Hill
Jamie Stewart of Florida
Ginger Stewart, Gena Stewart and Kelly Krause all of Michigan
10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Paul Hardy of Kitts Hill
Florabell and Clarence Barker of Ravenswood.
Two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Claude and Gerry Reed of Columbus
Lee and Elaine Reed of Kitts Hill
Viola Reed of Troy, Ohio
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 1 PM Monday at Phillips Funeral Home 1004 South Seventh Street Ironton, Ohio with Pastor Jim Kerns officiating. Burial will follow in Bald Knob Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Monday at the funeral home.
