Darrell Eugene Hilling entered into life April 30, 1941 in Xenia, OH to Eugene and Gertrude Marie (Ramey) Hilling.

Survived by: Son, Steve Hilling of Winslow, AZ, daughters, Elsie Hilling of Springfield, OH, Maribeth (Timothy) Fraley of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle Hilling of OK, 2 grandchildren, Jesse Nutt of Orlando, FL, & Dereck Lee Mallone of Springfield, OH, only living sibling, Beverly Nance of Springfield, OH. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donnie Hilling.

He worked for Chem Research Corp. and ITT Cannon Corp., he retired from Prax Air Corp. He had a lot of friends and dance partners at Toolies until they went out of business and then every Friday night he went to Romans County Line. One of his favorite pastimes was being a country dance teacher. He also played in a band that at one time opened for Waylan Jennings. Music was an important part of his and his whole families life. He was very very humerous who never met a stranger.

Visitation services 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Greer Wilson Funeral Home 5921 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix.
