Darrell P. Hawkins

July 22, 1920 - July 13, 2012
Born in Flippin, Arkansas and at the age of 4 moved by covered wagon to Broken Arrow, Ok. Grew up on a farm with 4 sisters and 1 brother. Married Lola Liston September 20, 1941, less than 90 days before Pearl Harbor . They were Married for 57 years.
Darrell attended Oklahoma A&M and served in WW II in the Army Air Corps.
He retired from LTV aerospace as an engineer after 37 years of service.
Dad was a faithful member of Grace Temple Baptist Church and Colonial Hills Baptist Church. He also volunteered with Texas Baptist Men building Churches for disadvantaged communities.
Dad had a great sense of humor.... he was a kind gentle Christian man...
loved his family, his church, his country, fishing, country music, baseball, & banana pudding.
Thanks Dad for being the best Dad in the world!
Survived by 2 sons Ron & Steve Hawkins...
Ron & his wife Joy,and sons Brentt & Chris, and his wife Misty.
Steve & his wife Shirley, and her children and grandchildren.
