David Allen Boyd, age 47, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on August 2, 2013 in Georgetown. David was born on August 18, 1965 in Cambridge, MN to Ronald David and Marlys Jane Illikainen Boyd.

He is survived by his children, Blake and Heather Boyd of Georgetown; his parents, Ron and Marlys Boyd; his brother, Michael Boyd of Georgetown; his sister, Teri (Larry) Orr of Allen, Tx; and a nephew and niece, Dustin and Brandie Orr. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jess and Irma Boyd and Oscar and Esther Illikainen.

As you go through life you can either live the way you want to or live it the way someone else wants you to. David was his own man. He loved his family. Photography was a passion, as was his loyalty to the Minnesota Vikings! He was a great cook with his signature dish of shake and bake pork chops (using his secret recipe right out of the box). He and Heather went to Kyle Park concerts and he loved motor cross riding with Blake. David worked for over twenty years in sales for Boyd Ag. LLC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial dontations may be made to Blake and/or Heather Boyd's Fund at 3713 Brangus Road, Georgetown, Texas 78628.

A time of visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 7th at Ramsey Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home with Chaplin Dean Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown.

You may share a message or memory in the memorial guestbook at www.RamseyFuneral.com or www.RamseyFamilyFuneralHome.com.
