The family of David R. Collins of Simpsonville, SC mourn his passing. On July 23rd, 2010 at the age of 63 years, the beloved husband, father, and grandfather succumbed to cancer only two short weeks after his diagnosis. David passed gracefully and peacefully from the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC.
A graduate of High Point University, NC David worked for the E. I. DuPont/Sterling/Agfa Company for 30 years in the medical x-ray division in Chicago (later in Greenville) and recently for Aflac Insurance.
David is survived by his wife Barbara, of 42 years; his two children Bonnie Marciante (and her husband John) of Rochester, NY and Richard Collins (and his wife Loreen) of Chicago, IL; his grandson Benjamin Marciante; and his brother Graham Collins of Deltona, FL.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 27th at the Cannon Funeral Home, 1115 N. Main St., Fountain Inn, SC. The visitation will be held from 2-4PM followed immediately by a memorial service in his honor. A private funeral will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the McCall Hospice House of Simpsonville, SC in David’s memory (www.hospicehousegc.org/donations.php).
