David Earl Mouser, age 77, peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus on August 15, 2010. He was born on May 29, 1933. He married Beverly Kalkstein Sturgeon on August 4, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois.
David traveled the world while serving our country in the Navy during the Korean War, receiving the national defense service medal and good conduct medal. He was involved in his church activities. He loved baseball and country music. He never met a stranger, and loved to talk to anyone who would lend an ear.
He is survived by his daughters, June (Wayne) Ardizzone, and Joyce Buchanan; daughter-in-law, Michel Sturgeon; grandchildren, Kristina (Justin) Jensen, Lisa (Roy) Sanchez, Ron (Rachel) Medeiros, Robert (Aubrey) Medeiros, Jaimee Ardizzone, and Nicholas Sturgeon; and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly and son, Robert Sturgeon.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday August 19, 2010 at Mountain View Christian Assembly, located at 8000 S. 300 E. in Sandy, UT. A graveside memorial service will also be held at a later date in Casselberry, Florida. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
Dad was always a hard worker, and his three step-children will be ever grateful that he was willing to take on the task of providing for, loving, and giving his all for his family.
