David Harold "Dick" Keisler Gilbert—David Harold "Dick" Keisler, 69, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day after an extended illness. He was born on June 15, 1943 in Gilbert, SC, the youngest son of the late Harley K. and Ethelee Craps Keisler. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gilbert. David retired in 2008 from Southeastern Freight Lines as a loyal truck driver. Prior to Southeastern, he had driven for Huckabee and Thurston Trucking Lines. David is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Janie Risinger Keisler of the home; a son, Michael Harold (Brooke) Keisler; and a grandson, Jackson Montgomery Keisler of Gilbert; brothers, HB Keisler and Bobby (Brenda) Keisler of Gilbert; sisters, Ann Keisler (Jim) Hodges of Jacksonville, Florida and Patty Keisler (James) Gunter of Gilbert. He was predeceased by a son, Robert Harold Keisler. Services will be conducted at 2PM Friday December 28, 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 246 St. Paul's Church Road, Gilbert, with the Rev. Phillip Coggins and Chaplain Clay Summers officiating. Burial following in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 Thursday at Barr-Price Funeral Home Historic B-L Chapel. Serving as active pallbearers will be nephews, Jamie Gunter, Rodney Sharpe, Trebor Sharpe, Kenneth Keisler, Randy Rish, and Jimmy Risinger. Honorary pallbearers will be St. Paul's Church Family and Friends. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210-1790. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Lexington Oncology and Hospice Care of Tri-County.
