David J. Webb, Sr., age 75, a lifelong resident of the Rocky Glen section of Moosic, passed away Thursday evening at Hospice Community Care in Dunmore. He is survived by his beloved wife, the former Beverly Belles. Wed on June 28, 1958, the couple were married for 53 years. Born on February 20, 1936, son of the late Oscar and Ethel Seig Webb, David was educated in Moosic Schools. Prior to his retirement, he had worked 27 years as an Explosives Technician for GOEX, Inc.. A longtime member of the Moosic Christian and Missionary Alliance, he was also an outdoorsman whose favorite pastime was hunting. A loving husband, father, brother and friend, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, his son, David Webb, Jr., and wife Catherine of Madisonville, and his daughter, Lisa Burda and husband Rodney of Moosic; three brothers, four sisters; the love of his life, his granddaughter, Carrie Webb, a freshman at New York University; and his two dogs, Brewser and Samson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers. His family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to both the staff of Hospice Community Care and to Dr. Kenneth Sebastianelli for the exceptional care they had given to David. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday at 4:00PM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge, to be co-conducted by Rev. Arthur Tucker and Rev. Douglas Jensen. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00PM until services. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Moosic Alliance Church (608 Rocky Glen Road, Avoca, 18641).
