David Joseph George, 30, of the 3800 block of Pughesville Road, died October 21, 2009. He was born in Arlington, VA and is the son of Shanon Winfree George of Suffolk, VA and the late Halford Vernon George, Jr. David was a landscaper for Garden Escapes. He was an avid hiker and loved to work on cars. Besides his mother, David is survived by a brother, Jason George and wife Crystal; maternal grandmother, Mildred Winfree; a nephew, Jason George, Jr.; a aunt, Kathy Winfree and husband Kenny; and an uncle, Keith Winfree. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009, in Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
