Mr. David L. Hodgson

Mr. David L. Hodgson, age 80, of Riverdale, GA passed away January 8, 2012. David was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Velma Isabelle Horne Hodgson and Robert Franklin Hodgson. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Raymond F. Hodgson and Betty H. Martin. David worked for Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #85 most of his working career, he enjoyed telling jokes, riding motorcycles, stockcar racing, fishing, singing and playing the guitar. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors are his sisters, Marie H. Carter of Hampton and Marion Davis (Carl) of McDonough; brother, Bobby Richard Hodgson (Frankie) of Hartwell; sister-in-law, Barbara Hodgson of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service for David Hodgson will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park at 12:30 PM.
