David Rucker was born on February 7, 1939 to the late Walter Rucker and Nancy Carver in Stovall, Mississippi. David accepted Christ at the age of ten years old at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Stovall Mississippi. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1956. David served in the United State Air Force from 1960-1963 as an Airmen First Class during the Vietnam War. David joined in holy matrimony to Glenolene Chambliss July 1973. To this union a son was born, Michael T. Rucker. David was employed with McDonnell Aircraft from December 1965 until he retired October 1996. In the early hours on Tuesday December 6, 2011, in St. Louis, Missouri in His own way and for His own purpose, God called one of His faithful servants home to be with Him throughout eternity. David leaves to cherish his memory; a son Michael (Vanessa Y.) Rucker, an uncle, Simon Carver of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Felicia C. (Marvin) Echols of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren, Marvin Echols III, Annyce E. Echols, Jaemica Logan, Jesse Logan, Michael T. Rucker, Jr. and Jayla M. Rucker all from St. Louis, MO; his loving cousin, Dana Carver of St. Louis, MO; and a host of family members and cherished friends.
