NORRISTOWN- Dean E. Herb, 72, of 2751 Dekalb Pike, but formerly of Valley View, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at Mercy Suburban Hospital. He was born in Valley View, May 14, 1939 , the son of the late Charles A. , and Olive R. (Shade) Herb. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Blue Bell, PA He was a retired machinist, and had worked for the Philadelphia Gear Co., Philadelphia, PA He was a Army Veteran He was the widower of Ruth D. Herb. Survivors include 3 Daughters, Michelle J. Hagan, Lansdale, Kathleen R. Miller, Skippack and Carol A. O'Malley, Norristown; Son , William L. Boyer, Whitehaven; 11 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Scott. A. Herb. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 3 from 1-2 PM at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Elizabethville. Services at 2:00 PM with the burial to follow at Enders Cemetery in Halifax.
