WILSON, DEBI LEA
Debi passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 at home in Coronado. Debi was 51 years old and had lived in Coronado for 23 years. She was born September 24, 1958 in San Francisco, and lived in Merced, California for the majority of her young life. Debi graduated from Cal Poly State University San Luis Obispo in 1985 and received her Masters in Nutrition from the University of New Haven. She was a Clinical Dietitian for Balboa Naval Medical Center since 2001, and also Sharp Chula Vista Hospital, Veterans Hospital Chula Vista, and Sharp Coronado Hospital.
Debi was one of two children born to Leroy and Bettie Harris, and was the beloved wife of Robert Wilson for 23 years. Debi will forever be remembered by her husband Robert and daughter Jaclyn of Coronado, her mother Bettie Harris of Merced, and brother Lee Harris of Oakland, along with many other family and friends who were blessed to know her. Debi loved helping others and working with infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Balboa Naval Medical Center. She also enjoyed taking trips to Mexico, baking, and walking along the beach, especially in Thailand, one of her favorite places she had visited.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Miracle Babies, which provides financial assistance and support to families in need with newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Memorial service was held Saturday, August 14, 2010 at El Camino Memorial Pacific Beach Chapel. Please leave a message in the Guestbook.
