Age 76, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, November 10, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband of 45+ years, Anthony (Tony) Joseph Soria of Albuquerque, NM; loving son, Richard Valenzuela of Albuquerque; brothers, Pete Valenzuela Jr., Charlie Valenzuela, and Jerry Valenzuela, all of Alamogordo, and Henry Valenzuela of El Paso; sister, Lucy DuVall of Tucson; aunt, Gregoria "Golla" Losoya of Hobbs; niece, Laura Herrera and husband Pasqual and daughters Selina and Lynnette; niece Nivia Thames and daughter Monica Nizzi; nephews, Sean Duvall and James Valenzuela; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Valenzuela, Sr. in 1986, her mother, Lucia L. Valenzuela in 2003, brother, Roberto Valenzuela in 1995, sister, Ende Lara in October, 2010, and sister, Eliza Leyva in April, 2011. Friends may visit Alamogordo Funeral Home Monday, November 14, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Rosary and Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Alamogordo with Father Juan Montoya OFM, Celebrant. Rosary and Mass will also be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine, TX on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery, Alpine, TX. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Cemetery, P.O. Box 1383, Alpine, TX 79831.
