Demetrio Rodriguez, 103, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife, Palmira; daughters, Sylvia, Mary, Yolanda (David), and Ruthie; son, Joe; grandchildren, Eric Demetrius Lambridia, James Lambridia, Christina (Jason), Noe (Sandy), Jessica, Grace, Anita, Stephanie, and Davin; numerous other relatives and friends.
Demetrio lived a long fruitful life. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent working on the railroad, and will always be remembered for his chorizo, being founder/owner of Rodriguez Sausage Company. Demetrio will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011, at Crespo Funeral Home – Navigation Chapel, from 4-9 PM, with a Rosary being recited at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1505 Kane St. at Houston Ave., at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Historic Hollywood Cemetery.
