Mr. Deneen Antoine Lucius was born on May 21, 1960 in St. Louis Missouri. He was the oldest child of Allen Mitchell and Phyllis Lucius Price. His father, Allen Mitchell preceded him in death. Deneen was joined in holy matrimony to Sophia Howard Lucius. During their 27 year union they reared five children. Deneen attended Sumner High School in St. Louis, Missouri and participated in Boxing, Karate, Wrestling and running Track. After leaving high school he was employed in various jobs, until he settled naturally into the occupation of care giver. Deneen whom some affectionately called "Black", was a devoted and loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. His sharp wit would have you in awe of his intelligence or laughing hysterically at his use of irony. When at all possible, he desired to live peaceably with everyone. He possessed an unrelenting never give up attitude, encouraging others to know that "Everything's gonna be alright…" A deep, quiet, and gentle spirit enveloped Deneen which enabled him to be a comfort to some and champion to many. When he was sure that you could fly…he'd let you go…watch you soar…and smile. Deneen Antoine Lucius was called by the Heavenly Father to rest on February 1, 2012 at St. Louis University Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He will be dearly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory his former spouse, Sophia Howard Lucius; 5 children, Darrion, Mark, Maurice, Monique and Daniel; his mother, Phyllis J. Price (Floyd); 7 grand children, D'yonni, Jaden, Layden, Derrelle, Shaniya, Samya, Audrina; 5 siblings: Cynthia (Jerry), Carla, Lisa (Sherman), Kenneth (Wanda), Eric and 5 other stepbrothers & sisters; mother-in-law, Mrs. Katie Howard; in-laws, Jerry (Cynthia), Eddie, Amos, Katherine(Hanry), Alvin, Joyce (Albert), Marvin (Valerie); and a host of "favorite" nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and neighbors.
