Dewey A. Nickolson, 62, died at 4:05 p.m. June 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born June 12, 1951, in Lima to Harry and Pauline Siferd Nickolson, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 3, 1981, he married Shirley M. Hunt, who survives in Lima. Mr. Nickolson had been an inspector at Better Brake Parts for 21 years. He then worked in janitorial and maintenance at Lima Central Catholic High School until April 2013. Survivors also include two sons, Mathew (Yuonne) Nickolson, of Johnsonville, S.C., and Aaron (Pam) Nickolson, of Elida; a daughter, Gracie Nickolson, at home; four grandchildren, Autumn and Samantha Nickolson and Jenna and Zach Harris; a brother, Terry Nickolson, of Columbus Grove; and two sisters, Darlene Miner and Sandy Courtney, both of Lima. He was preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Shammajo and Shaunna Nickolson; and a brother, Bill Nickolson. Services will begin at 3 p.m. today at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Gerbert Darlington will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gracie's trust fund the Percy Pig's Account at Lima Superior Federal Credit Union.
