Dewey Tom Lewis, Sr., 79, of the 900 block of General Hill Dr., Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011. Born in Van Buren, AR, Mr. Lewis was a retired Submarine Commander with the U. S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Mariel S. Lewis; daughter, Elizabeth Lincoln and husband Ray; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Lewis; sister, Suzi Ruff; grandchildren, Jessica, Patrick, James and wife Monique and Kevin Lincoln, Thomas and Blathnaid and Daniel Lewis; great grandchildren, Noinin and Blake; and neighborhood grandson, Ben. A very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Thomas Alberico and all of those who were "read in" on 2 East at Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel on Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mr. Lewis will be transferred to Russellville, Arkansas for services and burial.
